In cinema, editing is more than just putting together different scenes and creating a movie. Because it is known that with the assembly, there are different meanings and different meanings. The oldest and most important example of this is the Kuleshov experiment.

Kuleshov thinks that in cinema, each plan will come together with the plan before and after it, to make a new and different meaning. And then he did an experiment.

One of the leading actors of the Russian era, Carlik added the same shot of Ivan Mujukin's face with fiction after a bowl of soup, a dead child lying in a coffin and a beautiful woman lying on the table respectively. Those who watched these scenes observed that Mujukin was suffering from hunger, sadness and sexual desire, respectively, from his facial expressions. But in fact, in 3 scenes, Mujukin’s same expression was used.

This experiment was actually a revolution and has provided one of the most fundamental contributors to the cinema reaching the present point. Maybe he created the magic of the cinema. Because in addition to creating different meanings, controlling and directing the viewer's emotions and thoughts has led to the expansion and deepening of cinema's narrative language.

"Yes, it was a coincidence. But it was also a necessity. Because it was time for the cinema to come out as a beautiful art form. A twist of fortune has made me jealous." he said it.
